Why I Started Sunrise Harvest
Hi there, and welcome! I’m so glad you found your way here. Sunrise Harvest is my little space to share the ups, downs, and simple joys of learning about gardening, homemaking, and creating a natural lifestyle for my family.
Life as a Mom in the Garden
I’m a mom who dreams of raising my kids surrounded by fresh food, fresh air, and the beauty of nature. I’ve always loved the idea of living more simply—cooking with ingredients from the garden, spending time outdoors, and finding creative ways to make our home cozy and welcoming.
I’m still learning as I go. But I believe there’s so much value in sharing the journey, not just the “perfect” results.
The Small Moments That Matter
Some of my favorite moments as a parent are the small ones. I love watching my kids dig in the dirt beside me, planting tiny seeds with big excitement, or running to the garden to see what sprouted overnight.
It isn’t always neat or easy. Sometimes I can’t get plants to grow the way I hoped, or we end up with more weeds than veggies. But those are the moments that make it real.
Life with Chickens and the Garden
Life here isn’t just about plants, though. We also care for chickens, ducks, and a few other animals, which bring so much joy (and sometimes a little chaos!) to our days. Fresh eggs, happy clucks, and the rhythm of caring for animals are just as much a part of our homestead journey as the home and garden itself.
